Reception of the First Order for Automotive Parts Manufacturing

On the sidelines of the second edition of the International Subcontracting Conference organized by Stellantis and held in Oran, the first order for the production of an automotive accessory was delivered by FIAT to SIPLAST, a subsidiary of the ENPC plastics and rubber group. This marks the first manufacturing operation resulting from the consortium established with the international company SIGIT, within the framework of implementing the partnership agreement signed between the Italian company SIGIT and the ACS Holding. This partnership will later expand to include the production of complex plastic components such as dashboards and other interior elements of vehicles. On this occasion, Mr. Samir Yahiaoui, CEO of the Holding, emphasized that the President of the Republic has issued clear instructions to establish a genuine automotive industry in Algeria, an objective that can only be achieved by increasing the national production rate. In response to this directive, the Minister of Industry, Mr. Ghrieb Sifi, has given guidelines to all industrial groups, urging each to act within their field of expertise. ACS Holding is proud to be the first to take the initiative, leveraging its expertise in plastics. A consortium was thus formed with SIGIT to immediately begin manufacturing, while a joint venture is planned in the coming months to handle the production of all plastic components for the automotive industry, starting with the FIAT brand. The Italian partner will provide the necessary approvals and expertise, while also committing to technology transfer and training. Production will begin in the city of Sétif, in cooperation with SIGIT and SIPLAST, a subsidiary of the ENPC group. ACS Holding reiterated its commitment to fully support the consortium and SIPLAST to ensure the success of this partnership. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Alberto Cutillo, Ambassador of Italy to Algeria, Mr. Samir Chebani, Governor (Wali) of Oran, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Mr. Salem Ahmed Zaid, and Mr. Omar Rekache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI)
